Child Watch & Toyroom

Child Watch is a free childcare service provided for you while you workout or participate in other activities within our YMCA property. Our Child Watch staff welcomes children and infants ages 6 weeks-kindergarten that are part of your family memberhship. All children must be pre-registered and ahve paperwork on file. Space is limited!

Childwatch is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-1:00pm & 4:00-8:00pm at both Lafayette Y locatioins.

In the Toyroom we provide a safe, nurturing environment for your children to learn, grow and develop social skills. Our Toyroom offers full-time, part-time, and drop-in daycare for infants and children ages 6 weeks-kindergarten. Your child will engage in daily crafts, science exploration, story-time, gym play, and more! All children must be pre-registered and have paperwork on file.

Available Monday through Friday, 7:30AM - 8:00PM,

Members:

Part-time: $3.50/hr/child

Full-time: $135/wk for 6wk-2yrs & $130/wk for 2yrs-5yrs.

Non-Members:

Part-time $5.00/hr/child

Full-Time: $160/wk for 6wk-2yrs & $155/wk for 2yrs-5yrs.

Parents' Night Out

Looking for a Friday night babysitter? Bring your children ages 6 weeks through 10 years for a Parents' Night Out, an evening filled with fun activities for kids. There will be a pizza dinner, arts & crafts, a movie with popcorn, an dplay time on the YMCA's inflatables.

Costs: $8/child (members); $10/child (non-members)

Time: 6:00-9:00PM

Dates: April 19 & May 17

Register for Parents' Night Out a the YMCA program desk. Payment is due at the time of registration. Registrations and cancellations must be received by NOON the day before the event.  

School Age Child Care

School Age Care is a before and after school child care program fro children enrolled in full-day kindergarten through fifth grade. On-site care is available at most area schools both before and after school hours. A few select schools have their before and after school child care at the YMCA and are bussed to and from the respective schools. Program activities include homework help, arts & crafts, sports & recreation, swimming and much more!

Before & After School care at the schools:

Dayton, Edgelea, Hershey, Mayflower, Mintonye, Wea, Woodland, Wyandotte

Hours: 7:00-9:00am & 2:45-6:00pm

Before and After School Care at the YMCA:

Earhart, Miami, Miller, St. Lawrence, St. Mary's, Vinton

Hours: 6:00-9:00am & 2:45-6:00pm

Before School Care at the YMCA and After School Care at the School:

Glen Acres, Lafayette Christian, Sunnyside

Hours: 6:00-9:00am & 2:45-6:00pm
