Swim Lessons & Programs
Our aquatics program has something for everyone with a wide of variety of classes, groups, and activities for all skill levels! Our pool is located at our 18th Street location with daily hours for lap swim and open swim. You can find a schedule at the front desk or on our website under the Lap Lane Schedule tap.
We have awesome programs available for everyone in the whole family!
Members have access to our pool facility, aquatic fitness classes, and reduced rates for swim lessons.

A program designed for parents and children ages 6 months to 36 months of age. Focus is on water adjustment, safety and basic swimming skills. Parents must be in the water with their child.
Pre-school classes are for children ages 3-5 years. This is the child’s first experience without a parent in the water. Each level of pre-school swim lessons builds skills progressively. The levels for ages 3-5 are Pike, Eel, Ray/Starfish
Youth Swim lessons are for children ages 6-13 years. Lessons are designed to build skills through fun activities, stroke development, water sports and games. The levels are Polliwog, Guppy, Minnow, Fish, Flying Fish and Shark.
Teen & Adult Lessons
This class is for teens and adults who are beginning their swimming endeavors. This class focuses on overcoming fear of water, basic swim techniques and survival skills.

This program is designed for swimmers 8-18 that have completed all the levels of swimming lessons (Polliwog-Shark).
These swimmers continue to improve their swimming skills. They set their own goals, and with the help and encouragement of the YMCA aquatic staff, strive every day to meet those goals. Once a swimmer has achieved their goal, they receive certificates for their accomplishments. This program is non-competitive, but these swimmers push themselves to new swimming heights every day.
Designed for mentally and/or physically challenged children ages 3-21. The importance of fitness, water safety, stroke development and social time are elements of this star filled class.

Lifeguard Training Course
**Please note all classes must be attended in order to be eligible for certification.
The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course is to teach lifeguard candidates the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies.
The course content and activities prepare candidates to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, prevents drowning and injuries.
